Colorado Wildflower Flag

Every spring it seems a surprise. As we hike heads down lost in the rhythm of switching backing up and up the trail, you turn a corner and slowly look up to realize you're walking through a field of daisies and columbines. The foliage so thick the trail is hardly visible ahead as it's encompassed in yellows, greens, reds and blues drooping over. The sun shining directly down, far from the horizon which is hidden behind the tall rocky mountain walls surrounding the meadow. Plenty of time to take it all in.

We used local wild flowers as inspiration for each color section of the Colorado flag. Beneath is a list of those flowers which you've likely seen on many hikes and we hope you see many more!

Red
Desert Paint Brush
Eriogonum Hookeri
Utah Penstemon

Blue
Colorado Columbine

White
