    Have outdoor gear or apparel you’re no longer using? Bring it by Monday through Saturday, 10am–5pm—no appointment needed. We’ll review your items, accept what we think will sell, and get everything ready for the shop floor.

    We price gear based on condition, original retail value, seasonality, current demand, and market pricing. Clean, functional gear in good to great condition has the best chance of selling, so bring items in ready for their next adventure.

  • you get paid.

    We handle the selling so you don’t have to deal with photos, listings, messages, or meetups. Check your consignor account online anytime to see what’s sold, then collect your earnings by check or choose store credit for your next adventure.

consignor highlight: the rider family

When we moved from Carbondale, CO 12 years ago, I couldn’t believe that a town this size, with so many outdoor opportunities, did not have an outdoor consignment shop.  Little did we know that a guy who grew up just up the road from Carbondale would soon open a shop that would fill that gap in Durango. As our kids grew into and out of ski clothes, sandals, jackets (and everything else really), it has been perfect to have Chase and Jen’s shop to move them up to the next size.  I can’t, admittedly, say it has just been good for the kids.  My wife Jen and I have benefited from the great selection of clothes and gear at the shop and it has been an amazing place to practice “out with the old, in with the new”…well, new to us anyway.  Chase, Jen, and the entire staff are so easy to work with, they’ve really created a great atmosphere where everyone feels welcomed.

consignor highlight: cara kropp

My name is Cara Kropp and I have been adventuring in and around the San Juans and the 4 Corners Region for a while. In the most recent years, I have found myself packrafting, bikerafting, skiing and mountain biking. I also guide and coach for 4 Corners Guides, Durango DEVO, and Trek Dirt Series. When Jen and Chase opened up the Durango Outdoor Exchange I was super pumped there was finally a place in town that was convenient to drop off your old gear in exchange for something new to you. I started to feel really good about getting rid of the things I was no longer wearing or using. I told myself if I got something new I would have to bring something in to consign the next time. When I started to build credit, I couldn’t believe how easy it was. The selection of gear is high quality with a lot of new items. The employees are incredibly kind and truly interested in connecting with you. They always help me find exactly what I am looking for and help me brainstorm gear ideas for my next trip.
