Saguaro Cactus

Likely the most recognizable symbol of the desert, saguaro cacti are only found in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona and Mexico. They are stunning to see, a treelike cactus that can grow upward of fifty feet tall and weigh up to four thousand pounds. Some reach the age of two hundred!

They are the sentinels of the Southwest, watching over the endless cycles of life, death, and rebirth that happen quickly in these harsh environments. Their success in growing so large is a testament to the resilience of nature and desire to thrive regardless of the conditions.
